The Magna Grecia Foundation has successfully completed the Erasmus+ for Inclusion project, offering young people from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds in Campania and Sicily a unique educational and intercultural experience.
Thanks to the grant awarded by the Erasmus+ program, the Foundation has allowed these young people to experience total immersion in a different reality, promoting their social inclusion, personal development and cultural growth.
The selected group had the opportunity to embark on a study trip to Lyon and Marseille from 3 to 9 June 2024. This immersive experience offered participants an invaluable opportunity to explore two of France’s most iconic cities, deepening their knowledge of the rich culture and vibrant local traditions.
Youth-centered inclusion:
At the heart of the project is the enhancement of young people’s potential: through a non-formal and interactive approach, the participants have been the protagonists of all phases of the project, from the choice of activities to be carried out to the rounding off. This has allowed them to develop autonomy, a sense of responsibility and spirit of initiative.
Soft skills development:
The trip was an invaluable opportunity that enabled the students to acquire and strengthen soft skills such as intercultural communication, problem solving, teamwork and creativity. Fundamental skills to face the challenges of the world of work and to become proactive members of society.
Interculture and the discovery of new perspectives:
Experiencing a different culture has allowed the students to broaden their horizons, overcome prejudices and stereotypes and become more open-minded. An experience that has helped strengthen their sense of belonging to their common European roots and their active citizenship.
An unforgettable experience:
The students expressed great enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity offered by the Magna Grecia Foundation, defining the trip as an unforgettable experience that had a profoundly positive impact on their lives.
The commitment of the Magna Grecia Foundation:
Promoting social inclusion and mobility of young people in Southern Italy is a priority for the Magna Grecia Foundation. Through projects such as Erasmus+ for Inclusion, the Foundation will further strive to provide talented young people from the regions of Southern Italy with the tools and opportunities to achieve their full potential and grow into responsible citizens.
The Foundation will therefore continue to work in this direction, further expanding its training projects to provide more and more young people with the opportunity of having a bright future.
