State of Privacy 2023
Privacy Tour
The Privacy Tour is an initiative of the Italian Data Protection Authority that aims to "tell" Italians about the value of data.
In fact, we live in the society of data but not its value at all, and in this sense there is also a cultural "gap" in terms of education: in the South and in small towns it is much less talked about than in the North and in large cities, and this risks producing disruptive effects in social, economic and democratic terms. The Data Protection Authority then planned to organize an educational/information event in 2024, in small towns in Southern Italy with less than 50 thousand inhabitants, using a standard format. that of the Road Show, to talk about the value of data, rights, the role of artificial intelligence.
The project is supported by dozens of large public and private companies, including Ferrovie dello Stato, and Fondazione Magna Grecia has been called to the forefront to collaborate with the latter in the operational and institutional organization of the traveling Road Show which, starting from Messina, will touch the various cities of Southern Italy.
