On the occasion of the Christmas Dinner, the Magna Grecia Foundation organized a Seminar Dinner in the magnificent setting of the Cardinale Colonna Gallery.

On stage Nicola Lanzetta, Head of Enel Italy, and on behalf of our Foundation President Nino Foti and Vice President Francesco Saverio Romano.

The talk focused on the energy system with insights into the issues of infrastructure, the distribution network and the development trend of the sector.

With the data in hand, Director Lanzetta pointed out that in the last 20 years the network has grown in efficiency by 66%, becoming one of the most reliable in the world.

Among the topics covered are the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, the energy transition in relation to the centrality of territories for sustainable development, and Energy Communities.

The new regulation pertaining to market protection that will come into force as of January 10 and the importance of investments in the South were also discussed: in particular, strengthening infrastructure resilience aimed at coping with decarbonisation in the South and the Porto Empedocle terminal regasification project in Sicily.
