Mauro Crippa (1959) is an Italian journalist and CEO of Mediaset Information. He is a member of the board of directors of Mediaset, RTI, Il Giornale and Class Financial Network (CFN) and he is member of the Board of Directors of Confindustria Radio Television.

As head of communications for Mediaset, Crippa received the Magna Grecia International Award on behalf of President Fedele Confalonieri, during the fourth Magna Grecia International Week held in Rio de Janeiro in 2000. On this occasion, the Magna Grecia International Association, chaired by President Nino Foti, decided to award the Prize in recognition of the commitment of the major television network to investigate the migration phenomenon between Italy and Brazil. In that year, Mediaset bought and broadcast on the Italian national channel Rete 4 Terra nostra, a TV Series produced by the Brazilian giant Rete Globo that reconstructed the events of the great Italian emigration to Brazil in the early twentieth century.

Born in Rome, a militant of the Student Movement, the young Crippa tried to establish himself in the world of communication during the years of the Craxi administration. He began his training as a journalist at Radio Città and then officially enrolled in the Register of Journalists. His career began in 1984, when he joined IBM Italy as head of internal and external communication. Three years later, at the age of 28, he landed at Mondadori as head of the Institutional and Product Press Office: here he experienced his real baptism of fire because he found himself in the midst of the Segrate War for control of the publishing house, a struggle that pitted Berlusconi against Carlo De Benedetti.

After having actively supported the electoral campaign of party Forza Italia, in 1994 Crippa joined Fininvest as head of Press Relations. Since 6 July 1998 he has been Head of Communications and Press Relations of the Mediaset Group. Also, since 1998, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the European Publishing Company of "Il Giornale", since 1999 of RTI S.p.A. and since 2000 of CFN, as well as a member of the Confederal Technical Committee "Communication and Image" of Confindustria. In 2004 he also took on the role of CEO of the Multimedia Consortium Campus.

More recently, since August 2019 he has also been appointed Director of Videonews, an Italian newspaper that deals with various fields of information and in-depth journalistic programs broadcast on Mediaset's three most important generalist networks, to which the Group's journalistic programs belong.
